Lidya KasiwaStaying at home idle, especially after completing your 0-level, sometimes sounds boring...... so? I made what I can term as a noble decision to join MTG based in Kilifi. Way back when I was in high school I used to play football but not with keen interest as I had the mentality that it was only being played by men. But with MTG this mentality in me has faded away and I am now one of the best player in MTG's team. Janet Karembo KondeMy work is to coordinate all the MTG activities in Kaloleni district like the football activities, the peer led health education activities, community service etc. I assist the field committees that coordinate all these activities in their league fields. In Kaloleni we have five league fields so I travel up and down a lot. Every Tuesday I report back to the office and have input in the staff discussions in which we plan for MTG's way forward. In my district I'm the MTG representative who communicates with government officials, head teachers and sport officials. My work is important.Read more... |

Leah Gandi"Before I joined Moving the Goalposts Kilifi I was unable to make any decisions for myself. Also I couldn't play football nor express myself in front of many people. When I joined MTG I started by educating myself about what HIV and AIDS is and after that I educated my friends". Leah joined MTG as a player and soon became a peer educator. Clerice MrengiClarice, Clara for friends, is a twenty two year old young woman from Tsagwa, Kaloleni. She started playing football when she was in primary school, continued playing in secondary school and joined MTG late 2007 as an out-of-school player. From the start Clarice got involved in many activities. She cherishes the good memories when she was trained as a referee, peer educator and coach. Fathime KhamsiOn my first time when I joined MTGK I was not a good player, I could not kick the ball for even one metre. For me it was difficult. I was shy because it was my first time to play football and also I was thinking that football it's only for boys. But I didn't give up, I continued going to the practice until the time I dribbled and passed our coach who is ROSE KONDE.
