Some years ago MTGK was formed which means Moving the Goalposts Kilifi. This club was meant just for girls and women soccer. Then this club was branched into four divisions these are-: Bahari, Kaloleni, Ganze and Vitengeni.

In each division they started by selecting girls committee. They went on and organize teams in each division. They proceeded on and selected peer educators, volunteers and lastly they produced their own referees.  I joined in this club in March this year because at first I heard of this club and I decided to go and witness it by myself. At first I was a player and I was given a team. I proceeded on and I was trained as a peer educator which I was taught how I can live and even to be able to educate my fellow girls.

MTGK has made me to know more about HIV and AIDS, reproductive health and negotiation skills among others. It has also made me to go into hotels e.g Hot point and Titanic because we usually hold seminars and meetings inside those hotels.  I have slept in a guest house e.g Holiday Inn which I have enjoyed very much.  Also MTGK has made me to visit KEMRI (Kenya Medical Research Institute) because one day all peer educators went to be taught more about HIV and AIDS and prevention of mother to child transmission. 

In MTGK I was also trained as a referee and I was happy because I was taught the rules of football and now I can be able to officiate some matches.  Although I’m not that perfect but I’m sure there’s hope that MTGK will make me a good referee in future. Truly speaking MTGK has made me to step ahead in my life. As a member of MTGK I have benefited a lot from it.

Last but not least MTGK has made me to be physically and mentally fit and be able to solve some problems that I encounter.  Through peer education I can also be able to advise my fellow youth and even women on different problems they come across in their life.  Lastly MTGK has made me not to feel bored in my life cause socialization is very easy and I’m always busy every day.
