Short Biography:

I am a social scientist, interested in research ethics and health systems.  I've been living and working in Kilifi for 15 years, and have been involved with MTG in an advisory capacity since it began.  I currently sit on the research sub-committee.  Being involved in MTG has probably taught me more about girls lives in Kilifi than all of the research that I've done over that period. It has enabled me to learn from and have fun with a diverse range of inspiring and brilliant people!  I'm keen to contribute to MTG research that helps understand how a programme like this can make a real difference to girls' lives, and to ensuring that this information is communicated responsibly to sponsors and to others interested in initiating similar projects.

My life seems to have changed quite a bit since I came here... less partying and sport, more parenting.  But constant throughout has been enjoying great friendships, and a feeling of being very privileged to be able to live here. (Also constant is the desire to get back to doing
more sport (squash/swimming), and to do it better!)
