Kilifi Town Mixed Secondary School wins MTG school tournament First time participant Kilifi Town Mixed Secondary School has dethroned St. John’s as the champion of the MTG secondary school tournament for girls’ football teams. St. John’s, that had won the 2008 and 2009 editions, was the runners up this time. In a round robin final day it was Kilifi Town Mixed that won all its matches. Kilifi Town sent St. John’s home with a 3 – 0 score in a direct confrontation. Riziki Chapa, who scored all three goals in this match, was also the overall topscorer of the tournament. The finals from the MTG Secondary school tournament for girls football teams were played on March 13 on Mnarani primary school field and the MTG field in Mnarani. The ninth MTG Secondary School football tournament started in February with twenty-five teams participating. Five teams qualified for the final round. MTG girls have organized the event. They have officiated all the matches, provided first aid, given peer education and done the entertainment.
